Description

At Sumer, we know that great people make all the difference, and that's where you come in. As a Talent Acquisition Sourcing Associate, you'll be at the heart of finding and connecting with top talent across areas such as Audit, Tax, Accounting, and Corporate Finance. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract, and you can be based anywhere in the UK. The role includes some travel within the UK to collaborate with colleagues and attend key business meetings.

You'll form part of the Sumer Group TA Team, helping us identify the best people for our business, market mapping talent, and keeping our hiring process smooth and efficient. This role is all about building strong talent pipelines, keeping things organised, and making sure candidates have a great experience from start to finish.

  • Finding Great Talent: Proactively search for and engage candidates, headhunting for niche roles, and building strong talent pools for future hiring needs.
  • Keeping Us Organised: Manage and maintain high-quality data in our ATS, making sure hiring teams have the best insights to make smart decisions.
  • Bringing Our Job Ads to Life: Draft engaging job specs that reflect our culture and attract the right people.
  • Managing Applications: Track where best to advertise roles and oversee the application process to attract the right talent.
  • Screening & Selection: Conduct first-stage candidate screenings, helping to match the right people to the right roles.
  • Staying Ahead of the Market: Keep competitor market maps up to date, tracking trends to inform our hiring strategy.
  • Supporting Key Projects: Get involved in initiatives like onboarding improvements, referral campaigns, and candidate testing.

We're looking for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives on organisation, and enjoys making hiring processes run smoothly.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • You know how to find great candidates - especially in the UK across Audit, Accounting, Tax, or professional services. If you've worked within the South African market is also a bonus!
  • You're data-savvy - you can track, manage, and report on hiring data with accuracy and provide meaningful insight.
  • You've worked with an ATS before - if you've used Pinpoint, even better! (If not, we'll get you up to speed.)
  • You're great at screening candidates - you know how to ask the right questions to find the best fit.
  • You keep things running smoothly - whether it's updating templates, coordinating interviews, or managing recruitment processes, you make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

You may be the sort of person who is:

  • Detail-Oriented: You notice the little things that make a big difference.
  • Proactive: You don't wait for great candidates to come to you-you go out and find them!
  • Creative Problem-Solver: You love thinking outside the box to find and attract the right people.
  • Empathetic Listener: Truly listens to what candidates and hiring managers are saying (and sometimes what they're not), ensuring everyone's needs are met and understood.
  • Organised & Efficient: Juggling multiple tasks, deadlines, and candidates? No problem.

At Sumer, we know everyone's journey is different. That's why we're committed to fairness, removing barriers and giving people the support they need to do their best work. If you need any support during the hiring process, just let us know.

Our values represent what matters most to us and guide how we work every day:

  • We Shine Together
  • We Do the Right Thing
  • We Make It Count

We know diverse teams make us stronger. That's why we're creating an inclusive workplace where everyone belongs and differences are valued and celebrated.
