In this role, you'll help shape the council's future workforce, finding innovative and effective ways to attract, engage, and connect talented people with meaningful roles. You'll work with Hiring Managers and colleagues across HR, Policy, Organisational Development, and Change, using data insights and your understanding of the labour market to help us fill critical and hard-to-fill roles, and to build a future workforce that reflects the diversity and values of our communities.

You'll be encouraged to try new approaches, champion technology-led improvements, and continuously enhance the experience for candidates and our manager led hiring approach alike. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide practical knowledge, creative solutions, and expert guidance, ensuring consistency at the hiring experience is engaging, inclusive, and impactful.

You'll be part of a supportive team where you can grow, develop, and show your individual brilliance, all while helping to strengthen our employer brand and shape the future of public service in Sandwell. You'll need:

Experience helping people find opportunities, ideally in a similar talent or advisory role

Confidence, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, positive approach to solving challenges

The ability to build strong working relationships and empower others to succeed

Excitement about creating opportunities that make a real difference for individuals and teams

A customer-focused mindset, always promoting Sandwell as an employer of choice

Curiosity about technology and AI, and an interest in using digital tools to find smarter, simpler ways to connect people with meaningful work
