Job Description
Overview

Zaizi is looking for a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge digital services for the UK Public sector using the latest open source technologies and working under an Agile and DevOps framework.

Role Objectives

These are the expected objectives for this role. We are happy to discuss this further during the interview process and jointly agree it with the successful candidate.

  • Network and communicate with senior stakeholders across organisations and proactively seek out opportunities for digital transformation
  • Build rapport with customers to identify new opportunities for Zaizi
  • Support multiple teams, finding and using best practice and emerging technologies
  • Inspire other architects and help them understand how to deliver the goals of the organisation
  • Be responsible for governance, solving complex and high-risk issues or delivering architecture design
  • Collaborate on multiple projects with several customers
  • Discuss and present solutions and options to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other teams within Zaizi, share knowledge and drive continuous improvement
Technical

You will have extensive commercial experience in the many of the following:

  • Technical & Solution Design
  • Open Source software
  • Cloud computing (ideally AWS)
  • Security best practices
  • IAM, OAuth, Cognito, OIDC - all advantageous
  • Containers and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • DevOps / DevSecOps and related tools
  • Knowledge of multiple languages such as Javascript, Java & Python

Salaries - £90,000 - £115K

Security Clearance

Zaizi works with UK Central Government departments on a range of projects. To be able to work on our customer projects, employees must be Security Cleared to a standard acceptable to our Government customers. Due to this restriction we can currently only recruit candidates who have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and who have lived in the UK for the last 5+ years continuously.
