Software Engineer
Posted 4 hours 31 minutes ago by Randstad (Schweiz) AG
Heidi was born to make it easy for more and more people to discover the power of the mountains. We burst onto the ski holiday market in 2018 (formally known as Ski Zoom) and have seen exponential growth.
The company came from a desire to fix the lack of flexibility in the winter ski market. We help skiers and mountain lovers discover resorts that are hidden gems alongside the classics, and our clever tech is helping them to do it in a way that suits them best. We're a youthful, challenger brand, with an awesome culture, and we're shaking up a very traditional ski/mountain holiday industry.
Looking to the future, we have huge ambitions for growth. In 2024 we grew by 64% and expect to grow even more in 2025. Having come 63rd in the Times top 100 fastest growing UK companies, and shortly after securing £5.6 million investment, we are in a prime position to achieve our goals. But key to that is also growing the Heidi team with even more brilliant people than we have now. So we are looking for someone who will be fundamental to the success of our vision and is excited to help us drive that forward.
The role
Heidi's tech allows us to give our customers a seamless experience. Our engineering team work to make our platform run smoothly with tools, automations and integrations that haven't been seen in the winter travel sector until now.
We are looking for kind, ambitious, pragmatic, optimistic, product-driven people who take their craft seriously and love building. You will have an outsized amount of impact and help define this company's culture.
What you'll be doing
- Developing ASP.NET Core APIs and serverless systems.
- Improving the existing NextJS/React frontend or travel companion app.

- Building tools and improving processes for the development team.
- Being actively involved in the planning and technical architecture of our company roadmap.
- Building something completely new that might transform how a part of the business operates.
This role may be a fit if
- You're product-oriented and pragmatic. You love building useful software, and your primary motivation is making stuff people want and solving user's problems, not using a particular tech stack or a particular solution.
- You have experience with front-end Javascript frameworks and website performance. (javascript, React etc.)
- You have experience building and maintaining APIs and server side infrastructure (relational/nosql databases etc).
- You are delivery focused but aware of the bigger picture and can design systems to adapt and change over time.
- You can work and communicate effectively with other teams in the business and can provide a balanced perspective between technical and business priorities.
- You want to be a key member of a growing company, and have a direct impact on our success and are comfortable with the ambiguity this entails.
