Overview

Social Services Lawyer (Hybrid) needed in Stockport, £55ph

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality legal advice and assistance to the People Directorate to enable the Client to fulfil statutory duties in respect of safeguarding vulnerable children.
• Handle a caseload in matters including public law and private law proceedings and Deprivation of Liberty.
• Attend in person to represent the client on proceedings at The Civil Justice Centre in Manchester on a regular basis.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience as a social services lawyer, with the ability to advise on public law and private law proceedings related to safeguarding vulnerable children.
• Ability to manage a case load and attend court as required.

Contract & Location

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis, hybrid working in Stockport.
