About the Role
  • Our client is seeking a capable small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team. The small animal team benefits from the expertise of 12 vets in total, with a mix of general practitioners and colleagues pursuing advanced surgical interests.
  • The caseload provides a balance of consultations and theatre time. There is scope to tailor the role towards more surgery for candidates with suitable experience or interest.
  • The post is always alongside 3-4 other vets with no sole charge.
  • There is no out-of-hours or on-call requirement.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of post-graduate experience, be confident with routine consults and surgeries, and demonstrate clear communication and a team-focused approach.
  • Full-time or part-time patterns will be considered.
About the Practice

The practice is an independent mixed practice and a member of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. Facilities include advanced imaging, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and well-equipped surgical suites. Some procedures are handled in-house, including TPLOs and fracture repairs. The small animal team is part of a 12-vet group that combines general practice expertise with advanced surgical interests. The culture prioritises clinical freedom with no sales targets and a supportive approach to CPD.
