Service Engineer 1 (All Shift)

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out maintenance, repairs and examinations on rolling stock
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
• Undertaking component changes and heavy lifting activities where required
• Completing additional repairs identified during examinations
• Responding to failed units when required
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Supporting and mentoring new team members
• Working collaboratively to deliver fleet availability and performance targets

What We're Looking For

• Apprenticeship served, engineering qualification, or transferable engineering experience
• Experience in fault finding, maintenance or repair activities
• Strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Physically fit and able to meet engineering medical standards
• Able to obtain Personal Track Safety (PTS) and Depot Protection (DP Track) competence
