Senior & Mid DevOps Engineer

As a Senior & Mid-level Platform Engineer (DevOps), you will deliver key improvements to the security and manageability of a legacy platform, with a focus on AWS IAM for both users and services.

You'll work as part of a delivery-focused engineering team, implementing AWS IAM enhancements, Terraform-based infrastructure changes, and automation scripts in Node.js or Python, following established design patterns and technical guidelines.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be responsible for executing a defined technical plan efficiently - ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and security, while contributing to the evolution of a large-scale cloud platform.

You will become a key engineering team member, contributing significantly within a collaborative, autonomous, and cross-functional environment. Your role will involve assisting with the following:

• Deliver AWS IAM improvements and refactoring for users, roles, and services.
• Implement infrastructure changes using Terraform, following existing module and pipeline patterns.
• Apply least-privilege and secure-by-default principles across all AWS accounts.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling in Node.js or Python.
• Collaborate closely with the tech lead and delivery manager to achieve defined milestones.
• Test, validate, and deploy IAM and Terraform changes through CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or TeamCity).
• Provide clear progress updates, proactively identifying risks and blockers.
• Ensure all work aligns with security and platform standards.

• Strong experience with AWS, particularly IAM (roles, policies, permissions, service access).
• Proven hands-on experience delivering Terraform solutions (modules, pipelines, multi-account setups).
• Proficiency in Node.js or Python for automation and integration tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or TeamCity.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver within agile, delivery-focused teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with multi-account AWS environments and cross-account IAM roles.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation tools (e.g. AWS Config, GuardDuty)
