What you'll be doingWe are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join the Composite Moulding team, part of the Manufacturing Group. Depending on your experience and qualifications, you could join us as a Research Engineer or Advanced Research Engineer. In this role, you will lead the development of novel technologies and processes, and create demonstrators to showcase NCC's manufacturing capabilities - continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible with composites.
What are we looking for?- A strong theoretical foundation and substantial hands-on experience in composite manufacturing processes, such as manual pre-impregnated (prepreg) layup, dry fibre infusion, and Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM).
- Proven experience in an industrial manufacturing or engineering R&D environment; experience within the aerospace sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, customers, and engineering stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Demonstrated ability to perform thorough requirements capture across diverse technical areas, enabling the effective scoping and structuring of projects within defined capabilities, budgets, and timelines.
- Proficiency in producing high-quality technical documentation, reports, and specifications to a professional standard.
- Experience in leading technically complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
