Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to be supporting a well established company on the outskirts of Crawley in their search for a Plant Service Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join a growing team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, carrying out on site visits, and supporting operational teams across the region. The role involves direct customer interaction and occasional on call duties, so excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance and routine servicing of plant equipment
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and maintain tidy workspaces
• Conduct site visits to assess operational requirements
• Participate in the on call rota to provide support outside normal working hours

Skills and Experience

• Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or completion of an approved apprenticeship
• Proven experience in a field service or maintenance role
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence required
• Ideally 2 years' experience working for a plant / hire company
