We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won't be solved by science alone.We are looking for a Planning and Results Manager to join our team.The role reports to the Planning and Results Lead and will be a key member of the Organisational Planning team as part of the wider Strategy Department.Within the Strategy Department, the Organisational Planning team enables Wellcome to deliver its mission by aligning priorities, resources and delivery, specifically leading identification of organisational objectives, overseeing strategic resource allocation, embedding systematic performance and continuous learning, and strengthening programme and portfolio management.You will be a critical member of the Planning and Results sub-team leading Wellcome's integrated organisational planning cycles, with a focus on aligning objectives, plan, budget and key results, as well as embedding systematic performance reporting and learning.In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the Planning and Results Lead to deliver Wellcome's multi-year, annual, and quarterly business planning cycles. You'll help ensure that strategic priorities, objectives and key results (OKRs), long-term plans, and budget decisions are aligned and effectively integrated. Drawing on your specialist knowledge and sound judgement, you'll contribute to driving high performance, optimising resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Working collaboratively across teams, you'll help shape planning processes that enable Wellcome to deliver on its mission with clarity, purpose, and impact.As a Planning and Results Manager, you will: Lead and support business planning processes across teams, applying specialist knowledge to align strategic priorities, OKRs, plans and resources. Develop and refine planning and reporting tools that enhance visibility, accountability, and coherence across the organisation. Generate performance insights through integrated reporting to support timely, evidence-based decisions by senior leadership and the Board. Coach and collaborate with colleagues to embed planning and OKR best practices, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Monitor and adapt Wellcome's approach to setting and reporting OKRs, ensuring alignment with changing priorities and providing visibility to stakeholders Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.If you're a motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills, experienced in organisational planning and OKR management, and confident working across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver high-quality work under pressure-this role could be a great fit for you. Proven ability to work on multiple pieces of work across multiple stakeholder group to interpret data and deliver analysis effectively. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating open communication and collaboration.
