Our client is seeking a motivated Personal Assistant to support the Deputy Chief Economic Adviser in their fast-paced role within the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser (OCEA). About the Role:
As the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Deputy Chief Economic Adviser (DCEA), you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations within the Economics unit. Your responsibilities will include managing the DCEA's diary, inbox, and travel arrangements, along with providing essential support to the wider Economic Management Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on multitasking and enjoys working in a high-energy setting!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide professional, timely assistance to the DCEA by managing their inbox, tracking actions, prioritising enquiries, and following up as needed.
  • Diary Management: Take charge of a complex and fluid diary, expertly handling clashes and conflicts while exercising sound judgement in prioritising appointments.
  • Meeting Coordination: Plan and arrange meetings, implement follow-up actions, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Professional Representation: Efficiently represent the DCEA's office to all internal and external stakeholders, maintaining discretion and professionalism.
  • Travel Arrangements: organise national and international travel and accommodation as required.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with the Economic Management Team by coordinating information and preparing meeting papers.
  • Event organisation: Plan and execute events and conferences of varying scales, ensuring all logistics are managed smoothly.
  • Recruitment Support: organise interview timetables and assist with onboarding new team members.

What You Bring:
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and manage your own workload independently.
  • Experience handling pressure and delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of organisational systems for document management and an understanding of confidentiality protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across various levels of seniority.
