Job Description

Are you an experienced PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll specialist looking for a remote consultancy assignment supporting a major international organisation?

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical functional and technical updates to PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll, ensuring systems remain fully aligned with evolving operational guidelines and business processes.

Working remotely with occasional coordination in Rome, you'll support key system enhancements from requirements gathering to post-go-live support, ensuring high-quality delivery across a 120-day engagement.

What you'll be doing:
  • Conduct workshops with user groups to confirm and validate business requirements
  • Design PeopleSoft HCM solutions that align with existing delivered and customised functionality
  • Update payroll rules, calculations and benefits configurations to reflect new organisational guidelines
  • Enhance approval processes, workflows, pages, components and business logic for benefits and HR processes
  • Apply updates to the eRCS module for consultant engagement requirements
  • Implement changes to Absence Management and Teleworking processes based on new policies
  • Create detailed test scripts, support user testing, and manage defect tracking
  • Provide full technical and functional documentation
  • Offer post-deployment support to ensure a smooth transition to live use
What we're looking for:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
  • At least seven years of professional experience in PeopleSoft development
  • Proven ability to design and execute technical solutions from functional requirements
  • Strong data analysis skills, particularly within PeopleSoft HCM
  • Experience acting as a lead or sole technical resource on PeopleSoft projects
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience creating, supporting and managing user acceptance testing
Technical skills required:
  • Hands on experience with PeopleSoft HCM and Financials 9.2
  • Strong knowledge of Global Payroll, Supporting Elements and Job Data
  • Advanced experience with PeopleTools 8.5x, including PeopleCode, Application Packages and Integration Broker
  • Strong SQL skills on Oracle databases
  • Reporting experience using Query and BI Publisher
  • Understanding of configuration tools including Event Mapping and configurable page elements
Personal competencies:
  • Problem solving ability with the skill to present solutions clearly to non technical users
  • Strong teamwork and the ability to build trust in multicultural environments
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to prioritise and manage workload
  • Demonstrated success delivering high quality ERP solutions
