We would like two new non-executive directors to join our board.
OSR Projects connects people through artist-led activity - exploring new ways to see, hear, feel and think.
From our base in West Coker, Yeovil, Somerset we have produced ambitious, playful and socially-engaged art projects since 2011, in the South West and further afield.
OSR Projects was established in 2011 and registered as a Community Interest Company in 2019. We currently have five directors on our board, all with varying skills and would like two more individuals who have experience in one or more the following areas which will add value to our existing board:
- Experience in the creative sector (either as a professional artist or working for an arts organisation)
- Experience/knowledge of applying for / managing grants from public bodies (Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery Trust, British Film Institute, etc) and private trusts and foundations (Esmee Fairburn, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, etc)
- Experience in developing a financial strategy
- Knowledge of and interest in collaborative working and artist run initiatives
- Experience in showing and sharing leadership either in a formal role or informal
- Experience/knowledge in marketing, communications, copy writing or public relations
- Interest in the social model of disability, or lived experience of disability
- Ideally based in Somerset or the South West
OSR Projects CIC embraces equal opportunities and are keen to widen the diversity of our board, we therefore encourage applications from a diversity of backgrounds.
Your commitment will involve:
- Reviewing documents related to funding or other bids within your expertise
- Working on a future proofing strategy for OSR Projects CIC
- Offering advice, options, and connections
- Supporting our activities by attending events and exhibitions
- Advocating for our organisation and its activities
