This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our developing Band 6 rotational programme at the Western General Hospital (WGH). This rotation offers a unique opportunity to work across acute inpatient wards, front-door assessment areas, and rehabilitation settings, providing a diverse and rewarding clinical experience.
About the RoleYou will manage a varied and complex caseload, requiring strong clinical reasoning and advanced skills in prioritisation and discharge planning. Your experience across core Band 5 rotations will have equipped you with robust rehabilitation expertise and the ability to treat acutely unwell patients confidently.
As part of our proactive team, you will contribute to service development and Quality Improvement initiatives, working collaboratively on projects at both uni-professional and multidisciplinary levels. You will also engage in organisational and professional discussions as required by the service and delegated by the Head of Service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy across a range of specialties
- Participate in respiratory weekend work, including on-call duties
- Support and lead Quality Improvement projects
- Demonstrate excellence in leadership and teamwork
- Contribute to service development and innovation
This role provides an excellent platform to develop as a senior clinician, enhance your leadership skills, and gain extensive experience across multiple specialties.
