NetSuite Software Developer

We are looking for a motivated, passionate Software Developer to design and develop software solutions. You will be expected to write well designed, testable, efficient code, as well as producing functional designs, specifications and time estimates.

Our work can vary greatly from project to project and as such you will be expected to learn a variety of environments and languages, as well as the financial systems into which we deploy.

Responsibilities:

Software Development

• Developing and maintaining Nolan SuiteApp's and customer specific development projects according to user requirements
• Writing and implementing high quality, efficient and well documented code using Nolan standard practises
• Testing software, code reviewing other scrum team members work and actively contributing to the continuous improvement ethos within the team
• Liaising with customers to ascertain requirements, with ad hoc on-site travel as required
• Working with the support team to investigate and resolve bugs and issues in existing software

Agile Development Contribution

• To develop software within the NetSuite SCRUM team on the NetSuite platform according to the sprint priority
• Suggest tasks changes on user stories in sprint items

Knowledge acquisition and transfers

• Take an active and supportive role helping junior developers and other colleagues learn new features and techniques
• Documenting changes, writing technical designs, updating manuals and creating release notes
• Continuously improving knowledge and staying up to date with the latest development techniques and technology
• Contributing to new standard practises and identifying where improvements could be made

Others

• Accurately recording time weekly using NetSuite timesheets
• Any other duties commensurate with the level of this post as requested by management

Skills and Competencies

• Solid experience as a software developer
• Work under own initiative
• Good problem solver and communication skills
• Experience of working with NetSuite components with solid portfolio:
  • SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteBundle
  • SuiteScripts in both 1.0 and 2.x,
  • Map/Reduce terminology
• Certified in Netsuite Foundation
• Certified in Netsuite Developer
• Experience of financial systems
• Knowledge on Netsuite SDF deployment, SOAP / REST
