Mechanical QA/QC Lead - Major M&E Projects

Join King & Moffatt Building Services as a Mechanical QA/QC Lead to drive quality, compliance and successful handover across large scale mechanical installations in Galway or Limerick.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC activities across mechanical building services projects.
• Carry out site inspections and quality audits during installation.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings and company standards.
• Develop and manage mechanical inspection test plans (ITPs), QA checklists and quality records.
• Compile and review mechanical test packs and commissioning documentation.
• Track and close Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate snagging activities.
• Support mechanical commissioning and handover activities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation using digital QA platforms.
• Facilitate client inspections, audits, and quality meetings.
• Promote a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Mechanical QA/QC, Mechanical Engineering or a Quality role within Building Services or M&E.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations and commissioning processes.
• Experience with large scale commercial, industrial or Data Centre projects is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs and handover documentation.
• Full driving licence desirable.
