MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - PORTLAOISE

We are now seeking to fill the key role of Maintenance Technician based at their client's premises in Port Laoise.

YOUR NEW JOB

• Carry out general technical maintenance on a wide variety of equipment
• Use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Planned Maintenance (PM) programs
• Troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, PLC, and IT systems
• React quickly to equipment breakdowns or technical faults
• Apply analytical skills to identify and resolve problems efficiently
• Ensure automated and conveyor systems operate smoothly

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• 3rd level qualification in engineering discipline or trades qualified in mechanical / electrical craft or equivalent
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in a hands on technical/maintenance position that involves mechanical / electrical /IT troubleshooting on equipment within high volume manufacturing.
• Strong track record in general & preventative maintenance
• Experienced in using a CMMS and working with PM programs.
• Have a strong knowledge of automated and conveying systems.
• Competence in troubleshooting PC's, PLC, pneumatic, mechanical, IT and electronic/electrical systems.
• Have strong analytical skills supporting fast and effective problem solving.
• Be able to demonstrate a proven ability in trouble shooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment.
• A strong commitment to health and safety protocols at all times.

This position will support the technical team onsite at a key client's facility and is a day shift position. Some shift work will apply during the year to cover annual leave, etc. for which shift premium is paid. Attractive salary & benefits apply.
