Express Recruitment are excited to be working alongside a leading firm in the Tech sector offering a range of unique products and services. Our client is seeking a Mainframe Automation Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract.

The role involves supporting an exciting migration project. In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive day rate of up to £510 inside IR35.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mainframe Automation and output management support
• Communicate and collaborate with the wider Tech/Mainframe team to handle escalated issues
• Comply with ITIL practices and processes
• Manage Mainframe Automation tools in line with ITIL processes, and company-wide security, compliance and policies

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge and experience working with Mainframe systems and operations (JCL/ISPF - etc.)
• Knowledge of tools including OPSMVS, REXX, I-Dash, ServiceNow, Control D and Splunk (Dashboards) highly desirable
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile methodology
• Relevant education/qualifications in Information Technology/Computer Science (or similar subjects)
