Lighting Design Engineer

The UK's leading electrical wholesaler is looking for a lighting design engineer to join their Northern Ireland office in a newly created role. This will form part of a uniformed approach across the UK, working alongside existing sales teams across multiple locations, to enhance the service offering to existing clients. The job will be based out of the regional office in Belfast, however some level of remote working and travel across the UK and Northern Ireland will be required.

Main Responsibilities Include:

To provide conceptual and technical lighting design support to the existing sales teams with effective use of software packages.

Produce technical calculations, CAD drawings, quantity schedules, information packs and client presentations.

Review design briefs to ensure both technical and commercial understanding of the project requirements.

Attend site visits and customer meetings where required.

Provide technical advice and guidance to sales teams and customers alike.

Have knowledge of national standards and guidelines.

What we are Looking For:

Professional experience in designing lighting systems.

LIF Certificate.

Experience designing major projects.

Project management.

Key account management.

Proficient user of lighting design software (Dialux, Relux, AutoCad etc.).

Good presentation and communication skills.

Three years lighting design experience.

UK driving licence.
