Lawyer - Regulatory and Compliance

You'll oversee the legal and compliance framework for our global marketing business, ensuring that our commercial goals are supported by robust governance and ethical practices. Acting as a trusted adviser to senior management, you'll operationalise compliance controls, provide pragmatic legal guidance, and embed a culture of integrity throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver proactive, risk-based legal and regulatory advice to commercial and functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advise on a wide range of compliance and regulatory areas, including:
- Anti-bribery and corruption
- Antitrust and competition law
- Data protection and privacy
- Financial services and market conduct
- Sanctions and trade controls
- Sustainability and ethical sourcing
- Partner with compliance colleagues to strengthen oversight, monitoring, and control frameworks.
- Provide timely, business-focused legal support on strategic projects, transactions, and contracts.
- Oversee internal investigations involving compliance or regulatory concerns.
- Deliver training and internal advocacy to raise awareness of compliance risks and best practices.
- Manage internal and external legal services to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the drafting and negotiation of commodity transaction documentation.
- Qualified lawyer (common law or civil law jurisdiction) with significant post-qualification experience in regulatory, compliance, or commercial law.
- Proven experience in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment - ideally within commodities, trading, energy, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of international regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to align legal advice with business strategy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
