Veterinary Surgeon - Purpose-Built, Modern Small Animal Practice
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: 4-day week 1:4 weekends No out-of-hours
GVC are delighted to be assisting a leading independent veterinary group in the recruitment of a Veterinary Surgeon for their modern, purpose-built small animal hospital. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced vet who's passionate about gold-standard care, teamwork, and professional growth.
The RoleThis role offers a great balance of consulting and surgery within a supportive, forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload with the opportunity to develop interests in diagnostics, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.
With protected administrative time built into the working day and a set day off each week, this is a role designed with work-life balance in mind. Full-time vets typically work 4 days per week, on 9-hour shifts between 8am-8pm, with 1-in-4 weekends and no on-call requirements.
The TeamYou'll join a skilled, friendly team of 6 Vets and 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, supported by experienced reception and admin staff. Together, they provide exceptional care across general practice, internal medicine, and surgery.
About the PracticeThis bright, purpose-built hospital features:
- 8 consult rooms
- 2 theatres
- Dedicated imaging and dental suites
- On-site accommodation If required
- A full in-house laboratory (biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, microscopy)
- Dental X-ray, digital radiography, ultrasound, and orthopaedic capabilities
The practice operates extended hours, offering convenience to clients while maintaining a supportive rota for staff.
What We're Looking For- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, including at least one year in the UK
