We are looking for either a Mobile Vehicle Maintenance Technician serving London and the Home Counties or workshop based at Fiveways House, Pipps Hill Industrial Estate, Howard Chase, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3BD

Vehicle Maintenance Manager

Primary purpose of the role

To work under the direction of the Vehicle Maintenance Manager to ensure that all duties are carried out promptly, efficiently, and effectively on maintaining vehicles

To undertake the maintenance and repair of HGV refuse collection vehicles
Liaising with Vehicle Maintenance Manager to ensure all vehicle MOT preparation, servicing and repair requirements are met and that all vehicles are only released in a safe and roadworthy condition.
Ensuring that all paperwork regarding the MOT preparation, servicing and repair of vehicles conforms to 'O' Licence requirements and is accurately completed

Vehicle Maintenance Technicians Working in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, COSHH, LOLER, etc

DVSA MOT testers customers, and other third parties

Skills

Experience _(indicate depth & breadth)_

HGV vehicle chassis experience
Previous vehicle maintenance experience (minimum 2 years)
Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Flexible approach to work with a willingness to learn new skills
Organised and able to multi-task
Good communication both verbally and written with colleagues and third parties

Any other requirements

To attend any relevant manufacturers training courses as required by the Vehicle Maintenance

Manager or other member of the management team.

On occasion you may be requested to carry out other duties of a similar nature not included in the Job

Job Holder must be flexible and be able to undertake additional duties as required, and also flexible in their approach to working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £52,650.00-£58,500.00 per year
