Reporting to: Director- Professional Services & Brand Direct Reports: 1 Direct Report Position Type: Permanent Overview: Qdos is a division of Tokio Marine HCC, focussing on the sale of Insurance and Consultancy services to UK based freelancers and contractors.Qdos are business insurance and employment status specialists dedicated to the self-employed. We provide business insurance and compliance advice to UK limited companies and sole traders as well as the recruitment agencies and businesses that engage them. We're always looking for the best ways to get our customers the information they need, when they need it.Based in our purpose-built office in rural Leicestershire with countryside views, you will be part of a growing, sociable team with plenty of events and celebrations (we are rarely short of a few snacks in the office!). Job Purpose: The Head of Account Management is responsible for leading Qdos' commercial client relationship strategy, with a specific focus on strengthening engagement, retention, and revenue growth across our portfolio of IR35 and employment status compliance clients. This role combines strategic account ownership with leadership of the Account Manager team, ensuring all client-facing activity supports a high-quality, insight-driven service experience.As the commercial face of the professional services team, the Head of Account Management will lead on key accounts, identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell, and develop the team's commercial relationship management capability. Working cross-functionally with Professional Services and Service Delivery, this role plays a critical part in translating service delivery into long-term client value. Key Responsibilities: Own and develop strategic relationships with key commercial clients, acting as the senior point of contact and commercial lead across service delivery and new opportunities. Drive revenue growth across the client base through targeted cross-sell, up-sell, and expansion activity aligned to client needs and Qdos' broader consultancy and compliance offering. Lead, coach, and develop the Account Management team, embedding best practices in client engagement, proactive relationship management, and commercial performance. Embed a consistent account management methodology, including frameworks for onboarding, service reviews, communication cadence, and value reporting. Work closely with Professional Services and Service Delivery leads to ensure client expectations are met and that service quality supports commercial retention and expansion. Monitor client satisfaction and relationship health, intervening proactively in at-risk accounts and driving service improvements where necessary. Lead on commercial reporting, including revenue forecasts, client growth trends, and engagement metrics for senior leadership visibility. Represent Qdos in strategic client meetings, industry forums, and where required, contribute to commercial proposals or tenders. To support the Commercial Services Team and other company departments as required Skills and Experience Specification: You are: A confident and credible client-facing leader Commercially astute with strong negotiation and influencing skills Passionate about client success and long-term value creation A motivating team leader who develops others through coaching and example Comfortable working across technical, legal, and delivery functions to support client outcomes You have: Essential Proven experience in a senior account management or client success leadership role in recruitment, managed services or broader contingent labour supply chain Strong commercial acumen with experience growing revenue from an existing client base Experience owning or supporting strategic B2B relationships in a service-led environment Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills Experience developing and mentoring a client-facing team Strong familiarity with CRM and reporting tools (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI) Desirable Knowledge of IR35/off-payroll working rules, contractor compliance, or employment tax Experience in professional services, insurance, tax, or recruitment/staffing sectors Exposure to commercial proposal development and client retention strategy Key Benefits Hybrid working options Non-contributory pension Funded private healthcare 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Wellbeing allowance Free parking What We Offer The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
