Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained at all times. Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes prepared
Manage food preparation and cooking activities, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Maintain organisation of kitchen equipment and workspaces for efficiency and safety

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team in a hospitality setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong understanding of food production processes and hospitality operations
Exceptional communication skills to effectively lead staff and collaborate across departments
