Go Developer

Duration: 6 months
Rate: £500-£600/day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Location: UK-based, hybrid - 2 days per month in London

A public-sector digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Go Developer for a 6-month contract. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team building secure, high-performance backend services.

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)

• Additional experience with Java beneficial

• Microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems

• Secure development practices and familiarity with high-security environments

• Working knowledge of CI/CD and containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes)

• Develop and maintain Go-based backend services

• Contribute to architecture, design decisions, and code reviews

• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and security specialists

• Implement secure-by-design and cloud-ready engineering practices

• Active SC Clearance (mandatory)

• Proven experience delivering Go services in production

• Some Java experience preferred but not essential
