Gastroenterology Consultant

Overview

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant Gastroenterologist on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Gastro department.

Our client is one of the largest and busiest Trusts in Yorkshire, with this teaching hospital NHS Foundation Trust providing a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800,000 people living within the area. The Trust has secured £40 million of funding to enable the creation of a Combined Emergency Assessment Unit, where staff from a range of medical specialties can work side-by-side in a single assessment area, close to the front door and diagnostic support.

The appointee will be working alongside 2 Consultants and 1 Associate Specialist, in a department which consists of an IBD nurse specialist team, a 3-room endoscopy suite and a 16-bed ward dedicated to the care of the gastroenterology patients.
