Charity People are partnering with a children's heart fund to find a new Fundraising Assistant to raise vital income to support the essential work they do. A Northeast Charity of the Year award winner, this organisation has fantastic support across the region.
Salary: £23,400 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time at 37.5 hours a week
Benefits: 25 days + bank holidays, 5% employer pension contribution, full flexible working between 6am-11pm, holiday buy back scheme up to 5 days, plus more

About the charity:
This charity supports Heart Heroes and their families; "for hearts, for families for life". They do this through supporting innovative research, providing equipment, facilities, and aftercare, and offering services to support both the physical and mental health.
Working across the Children's Heart Unit at Freeman Hospital and the six district hospitals across the Northeast of England their aim is to help where the NHS can't, providing support to these children and their families as soon as they require specialist care.

About the role:
This is an unmissable opportunity for someone to move into a fundraising role within a supportive and collaborative fundraising team. The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the team, supporting current and new fundraising opportunities for the charity. You'll be providing full support to the fundraising team, assisting in building relationships with supporters to identify fundraising opportunities. You'll also help the team implement strategic plans and develop contact through face to face meetings and presentations.
You'll also be the first point of contact for the charity's supporters, processing donations and providing fundraising materials. You will help the fundraising team with campaigns, events and mailings, providing administration support.
About you:
This opportunity would really suit a highly motivated self-starter who has the ability to work on their own initiative in a busy environment. You'll be a team player, who can work collaboratively but also take responsibility for your work. You'll be someone who's flexible, persistent, and resilient.
