Forklift Driver/Yard Operative

Our yard operatives are multiskilled and carry out a variety of yard duties while ensuring orders are picked, labelled correctly and on time ready for delivery. This is a physically demanding role in a busy depot where Health and Safety regulations will be adhered to at all times. You play a vital role in ensuring excellent standards of service are provided. We require someone who wants to develop and progress within this role to Yard Supervisor.

Reporting to: Depot Manager Operational responsibilities:

Pick and prepare customer orders for delivery and collections.

Maintain a clean, safe and well organised yard, including stock levels, stock rotation.

Responsible for daily FLT checks.

Provide friendly, helpful service to customers collecting orders.

Safety of loading and unloading of supplier and customer vehicles.
