Fixed Income Trader

Our client, a leading international asset manager, is looking to recruit a Rates and FX Trader to join the trading desk in London.

This individual will step into a trading environment that works closely with Portfolio Managers to provide significant input on market sentiment and trade execution.

Key responsibilities:

1. Execute trades across Developed Market Rates and FX - Futures, Sovereign Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps and Total Return Swaps
2. Regularly communicate with Portfolio Managers to advise on market colour, portfolio positioning and risk levels
3. Monitor market activity to ensure best execution at all times
4. Actively contribute to the global fixed income investment process
5. Develop and maintain good working relationships with brokers, ensuring highest standard of professionalism and service

Experience & Skills required:

1. Minimum 3 years' trading experience at a buy-side or sell-side institution
2. Trading expertise in Rates and/or FX
3. Working towards CFA preferred
4. Excellent IT skills: Excel, Bloomberg and trading platforms
5. Good team player who is able to work within a highly collaborative working environment
6. Confident, articulate with the ability to thrive under pressure
