Early Childhood Music Educator

Newpark Academy of Music is looking for a creative and engaging early childhood music educator to lead group music classes for children aged approximately 4 to 6.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about introducing young children to music in a fun, structured, and developmentally appropriate way.

The successful candidate will be confident leading groups and creating an environment where children feel encouraged to explore rhythm, movement, singing, and basic musical concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging group music classes for young children
• Introduce foundational musical skills through singing, movement, listening, and play-based learning
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding class content and student engagement

Requirements

• Experience working with young children in a music or educational setting
• Confidence leading group classes in an organised and engaging way
• A flexible but confident teaching style, with the ability to adapt to group dynamics
• Strong communication skills with both children and parents

Desirable (but not essential)

• Training in early childhood music education approaches (such as Kodály, Orff, Dalcroze, or similar)
