Job Description

To support our Copy team we are searching for a Director - Copy Editing (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead and elevate all brand and campaign copy, from promotional and capsule launches to seasonal storytelling across every customer touchpoint.
  • Be the guardian of Mytheresa's global voice, ensuring every market reflects the same standard of excellence and emotional resonance.
  • Inspire, mentor, and empower a team of 40+ international Copy Editors and Leads, fostering creativity, consistency, and collaboration across languages and regions.
  • Collaborate closely with Content Managers, Graphic Designers, Stylists, and Campaign Owners to bring creative ideas to life with clarity and beauty.
  • Partner directly with the Chief Creative Officer and creative leadership team to drive the overarching creative vision and ensure copy excellence at every level.
  • Think across all touchpoints - crafting holistic campaign journeys across email, app, social, onsite & offsite, print, and exclusive offline activations.
  • Support the Chief Creative Officer in global pitches and creative innovation projects, representing Mytheresa's tone and storytelling at the highest level.
  • Stay ahead of cultural, fashion, and technological trends - bringing fresh creative energy and insight from fashion, art, media, and design.
  • Deliver inspiring, strategic presentations that articulate creative ideas with precision and passion (Keynote and PowerPoint).
  • Leverage AI and new creative technologies thoughtfully and strategically to enhance copy development and efficiency.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in a fashion, brand, or advertising agency, or within an in-house creative team (fashion, ecommerce, design, branding).
  • At least 3 years leading creative and commercial projects from concept to execution.
  • Proven expertise in luxury fashion and lifestyle storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems and cross-channel campaign creation.
  • Experience working within agile, fast-paced, international environments.
  • Exceptional leadership skills - you lead with empathy, clarity, and creative conviction.
  • A true team player who thrives on collaboration and mentoring talent.
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills (native-level English required).
  • A refined eye for luxury detail, ensuring every element embodies sophistication and excellence.
  • Strong transcreation and linguistic sensibility - able to define and communicate an English master copy that sets the tone for all other languages.
