Ekstedt at The Yard focuses on Scandinavian cooking techniques using the best seasonal local ingredients, featuring a menu of signature dishes, an inventive cocktail menu, and an extensive wine list. The open kitchen creates an engaging dining environment.

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is a luxury hotel located near Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square in Westminster. Duties and responsibilities
  • Support culinary operations across multiple areas of the hotel, including restaurants, events, room service, and colleague dining.
  • Prepare high quality dishes with consistency, ensuring all menu items are well executed and aligned with hotel standards.
  • Apply strong knowledge of ingredients, including seasonal produce and new products, to enhance menu offerings.
  • Maintain excellent presentation standards, ensuring every dish is visually appealing.
  • Uphold strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices while ensuring equipment is used and maintained correctly.
  • Collaborate with chefs and leaders across the department, using initiative to solve problems and support smooth service.
  • Contribute to cost control by following recipes accurately, minimising waste, and supporting sustainability goals.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members, helping to build skills and maintain a positive kitchen environment.
About you

We are seeking a skilled and motivated culinary professional with experience in a fast paced kitchen or hotel environment. Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous, particularly within luxury hospitality, where high standards of service, presentation, and guest interaction are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong culinary knowledge, versatility across multiple kitchen and service areas, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional hygiene, teamwork, and guest satisfaction.
