Data Portfolio Lead

Overview

We have an amazing new opportunity for a Data Portfolio Lead to take charge of delivering key data projects and vendor-led initiatives across the business. You'll ensure alignment with our goals, working closely with teams and suppliers while monitoring quality, budgets, and opportunities for improvement. In this role, you'll lead projects from start to finish, collaborating with architects, designers, and vendors to shape how we deliver and manage data solutions. You'll bring clarity and consistency to every stage, driving efficiency and innovation. You'll also manage vendor relationships, ensuring contracts are met and performance is on track. Working alongside senior stakeholders business-wide, you'll help deliver seamless, integrated solutions that really make a difference.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Solid track record of leading vendor-managed and data-focused project portfolios
• Good knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including both Agile and Waterfall methods, with wide experience in different delivery approaches
• Demonstrable ability to lead complex vendor relationships and deliver large-scale data platforms successfully
• Strong financial awareness, with hands-on experience managing budgets and linking spend to business goals
• Clear and effective communicator, skilled at presenting complex information, facilitating discussions, and building consensus with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
