Cover Supervisor

Your new roleHays are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team, working with various secondary schools in Birkenhead, Wallasey, and the surrounding areas. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and have a proven track record of working with children in an educational setting. We have full-time and part-time opportunities currently available for September or work flexibly offering daily supply to local schools.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.
• Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of education.

What you'll need to succeedFor this role, candidates must have a full DBS on the update service/documents to apply for one, as well as:

• Previous experience working with children/leading large groups
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Confidence and good communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding
• Previous cover supervisor experience (Desirable)
