We are currently looking for a Cover Manager to join a large secondary school in Redbridge on an long-term contract basis to manage daily cover needs, allocate cover lessons, contact agencies, support cover teachers to set up lessons. You will be carrying out all aspects of the role relating to the Arbor systems - experience using Arbor is preferable, but some experience using School MIS is essential.

The Role

In this role you will be working 5 days a week, where one day you will be working 7 hours and the other 4 for 7.25 hours with a 45-minute break each day.

Monday to Thursday: 06.30 - 14.30

Friday: 06:30 - 14.15

Individual jobs will vary in but in general you will be required to:

  • Work/support SLT re timetabling - timetable for new academic and throughout the year
  • Implement End of Year and the New Year procedures, liaise with 6th form team to set up Applica and enrol 6th form students
  • Ensure student groups, timetables, options are set up and inputted for all years for new Academic Year including 6th form
  • Maintain the Student database, Academic Management timetables and Pastoral Structure throughout academic year
  • Be a trained First Aider
  • Use the Arbor system efficiently
  • Manage all cover needs.
