About the Role

We are recruiting for a fast paced, multi site manufacturer. The role calls for a competent electrical or mechanical bias multi skilled day shift engineer who is a problem solver with continuous improvement ideas. The successful candidate will thrive in a proactive electrical bias front line maintenance role.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, adjust, and repair process and production machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
• Examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.

Potential overtime and flexibility may be required to support the role when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent manufacturing background.
• 1+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing setting, preferably with electrical or mechanical fields.
• Competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience. Able to solve problems, possess PLC/automation experience, and produce safe systems of work.
• Capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or service.
• All round hands on maintenance electrical role including conveyors and processing; machine tool maintenance background preferred.
• Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is essential.
