Content Designer (Government, GOV.UK, GDS experience)

Rate: £450-525/day Inside IR35

Duration: 3 months with possible extension

Locations: Base locations across the UK including London, Bristol, and Manchester

On-site Requirement: 1 day per week

Deadline: Close of business Thursday 13th November

About the Role

We're looking for experienced Content Designers to join high-profile central government digital service teams. You'll create and improve user-centred content that meets service standards and makes a real impact on millions of users.

What You'll Do

Design, improve, and manage content using analytics, user feedback, and research

Apply and contribute to content principles and strategies

Identify user needs and write clear, actionable user stories

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across government and industry

Take a strategic approach to content design, ensuring compliance with service standards

Essential Skills Experience

Government experience is critical - strong understanding of GOV.UK content standards and GDS service design principles

Hands-on experience with government publishing systems

Expertise in using insights and analytics to inform decisions

Excellent stakeholder management and prioritisation skills

Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
