Job overview

To support the Medical PA in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within Ramsgate House.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertake audio/shorthand/clerical duties for consultants, including minute taking, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence and clinical activity data input.
  • Provide first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries on behalf of consultants, using judgement to establish validity and priority.
Benefits and experience
  • Pay enhancements: 30% additional for evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays, 60% additional for Sundays and bank holidays.
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
  • Experience required: working in a public facing environment, 2 years on computer systems, clinical secretary experience, and working in a patient environment.
Qualifications
  • 3 GCSEs.
  • 1 year administration experience.
  • Experience in a public facing environment.
