Our client, a highly reputable classic car restoration workshop near Liss, Hampshire, is looking to recruit a skilled Classic Car Technician to join their expanding team. The role of a Classic Car Technician at this workshop offers the chance to work on a diverse range of vintage and modern vehicles within a professional, supportive environment.

As a key member of the team, the Classic Car Technician will be responsible for delivering craftsmanship of the highest standard on prestigious restoration projects. This position is perfect for someone with a genuine passion for classic cars, wanting to develop specialised skills in restoration, welding, and fabrication within a dynamic business setting.

Duties:
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics and repairs to high standards
  • Execute restorations and refurbishments on classic cars in line with customer specifications
  • Dismantle, label, and manage vehicle parts efficiently
  • Perform fabrication and welding work independently or with guidance
  • Assess components for restoration or replacement to meet quality standards
  • Compile detailed parts lists for project planning and purchasing
  • Reassemble vehicles with precision, exceeding customer expectations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum of 3 years workshop experience within the motor trade
  • Strong interest or experience in classic car restoration and welding
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, both modern and vintage
  • Willingness to develop fabrication and welding skills
  • Driven, reliable, and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Patient and methodical approach to project management across multiple months
