We're currently looking for an Audit Manager who enjoys leading and overseeing audit assignments from planning to completion, playing a key role in coordinating with clients, managing audit tasks and ensuring high quality work. You will lead junior colleagues on engagements, providing guidance and feedback.
This role will require travel to client sites, including locations within the Scottish Borders.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of audit projects from planning to completion
- Act as primary contact for clients during engagement, handling queries and maintaining clear communication
- Supervise junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback to support their career development
- Take the lead on preparing budgets, monitoring progress and addressing variances to ensure project
- Take responsibility for billing activities
- Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards throughout each engagement
- Perform administrative and ad-hoc tasks to facilitate efficient project flow
- Qualified Accountant - ICAS, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent to handle complex audit assignments
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once, helping balance workloads across the team and ensure client deadlines are met
- Experience in guiding and mentoring junior colleagues, foster knowledge sharing and help the team develop and thrive
- Familiar with risk assessments and effective control measures within the audit process
- Up to date technical knowledge and relevant accounting and auditing standards
