£20k - £28k + Training + Benefits.

Profile

A well established Asbestos Consultancy, who hold a strong presence across the South of England working with a mixed portfolio of clients, are now seeking to employ an organised and motivated Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Essex Area. The successful candidate will hold the P401 qualification and will have a keen eye for details and experience working within a laboratory setting within the Asbestos industry, carrying out sampling for fibre content in line with UKAS regulations.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold the BOHS P401.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Asbestos industry with a proven track record working within a Laboratory setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for details.
• Confident and well versed in relevant Asbestos Health and Safety regulations.

The Role

• Carrying out preparation of samples for analysis.
• Analysing fibre content in line with relevant UKAS regulations.
• Logging and storing all asbestos samples on arrival to the Laboratory.
• Completing analysis sheets upon completing sample analysis, ensuring they are filled out accurately.
• Involvement in any other laboratory tasks, and administrative duties.
• Entering data correctly into internal systems and carrying out checks on reports before sending to client's.
• Liaising with client's and dealing with any enquiries efficiently, offering any technical help when needed.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health and Safey / UKAS regulations.
