Asbestos Lab Analyst - P401- Twickenham

Job Overview

Due to continued expansion and business requirements, this UKAS accredited and client based asbestos consultancy, with a large presence in the Southern region currently requires the services of a smart, tenacious and committed Asbestos Lab Analyst based in the Twickenham area. Consideration will be given to applications from the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• The applicant must have attained the P401 asbestos qualification and must have a proven track record working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst within an UKAS accredited laboratory environment.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and will be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory, preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
• Completing record forms and typing certificates of analysis as and when required and ensuring that workload is completed within time frame.
• Complying with UKAS documentation and the Asbestos Quality Control Procedures.
• Getting involved with other laboratory duties and ad-hoc duties as and when required.
• In general, the applicant will be self-motivated, flexible, have good work ethic and good attention to detail.
