AP / SAP Electrical Engineer : Dumfries and Galloway

Salary up to £66,000 + £7,000 Standby Retainer + £5,000 Car Allowance

Are you an experienced Senior Authorised Person with SPEN authorisations looking to take the next step in your career? You will be delivering major network upgrades, connections, and maintenance works, is expanding their team and seeking skilled SAPs across multiple regions in Scotland.

As an SAP, you'll play a critical role in the safe delivery of works on the SPEN network. You'll hold (or have recently held) SPEN authorisations and be responsible for:

• Carrying out HV/LV switching on SPEN networks
• Issuing and cancelling permits, sanctions, and safety documents
• Ensuring the highest standards of electrical safety, compliance, and operational control
• Participating in a 1-in-9 standby rota

• Current or recent SPEN AP / SAP authorisations (minimum HV, ideally 11kV/33kV)
• Strong understanding of DNO/IDNO safety rules and operational practices
• Proven experience in switching, permit issue, and the management of safety on-site
• A full UK driving licence

• Salary up to £66,000 (depending on experience)
• £7,000 standby retainer (1-in-9 rota)
• £5,000 car allowance
