  • 12-month Fixed Term, Full time post 37 hours per week (base RIE)
Responsibilities
  • Applications are invited for the above posts based in Pathology at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Molecular Pathology has received funding from Scottish Government to support the Colorectal optimal cancer pathway.
  • This post is a Fixed Term 12-month post to support molecular pathology laboratory processes. It is therefore an ideal opportunity for those who seek to further develop their skills and experience to aid their career progression.
  • Successful applicants will contribute to providing comprehensive support to the clinical laboratory service, working effectively as a team member. Candidates should be adaptable, have good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should also have previous experience of working with complex and highly sensitive equipment. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity is required for this post. Candidates should also have previous experience of working in an NHS laboratory which is desirable.
  • Candidates should be educated to SCQF level 8 e.g. HND; or SVQ4; or IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 2; Personal Development Awards. This is a full-time post.
