The RoleThis permanent position is for a veterinary surgeon with solid post graduate experience to join a dynamic day rota, including weekends. Full time is preferred, but part time hours can be considered for the right candidate. A medical bias is advantageous, and full support is available for those wishing to pursue a certificate. The practice benefits from a dedicated out of hours team, ensuring seamless patient care and a healthy work life balance.
About the PracticeThis Tier 3 hospital enjoys an exceptional local reputation and offers first opinion and referral services thanks to outstanding facilities and a highly skilled team. The team of 17 vets (full and part time) is expanding following the relocation of a valued member. The state of the art hospital is equipped with high end ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, electrocautery, laparoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp, a fully equipped in house laboratory with advanced diagnostics, and Imagyst for rapid haematology and cytology.
The surgical team regularly performs advanced procedures including BOAS, TPLO/CCWO, patella and fracture repairs, cholecystectomy, liver lobe resections, and TECA surgeries. Complementary therapies such as laser therapy, acupuncture, and physiotherapy are also available. Building work begins this November on an extension to house a CT scanner, expected to complete in March 2026.
