Job title: Night Shift Transport Porter Location : New Addington, Croydon CR9 0DB Salary : £12.90 per hour + Night Shift Allowance Hours per week : 40 Shift Times: 00:30 - 08:30 Monday to Friday Responsibilities: Accurately checking orders / totes from drop sheets paying special attention to route, according to procedures. All missing orders / totes must be recorded and notified to a Line Manager. Ensure orders / totes are allocated to pallet / route cage. Prioritise orders / totes by route departure time. Loading vehicles as per instructions, ensuring that all bins, boxes, bags are loaded in the vehicle in a safe manner. Ensuring all loads are secure, following the correct load security processes. Ensuring that all pallets and cages are stored correctly and bins, boxes, bags are stacked in a safe manner. Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to. Any other tasks required by management. Ensuring empty totes are sorted correctly Safe transfer of orders to loading bays. Repick of missing orders where relevant. Requirements: Flexible and adaptable approach to work Ability to work under pressure Ability to communicate well with others Good visual accuracy, numeracy and communication skills Committed to working in a hazard-free, world class health and safety environment Any previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable and any experience driving a Counterbalance forklift truck.Manual Handling:Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time as well as carrying out manual handling activities in line with our Health and Safety standards.
