Your Role

As Team Leader - Building, you'll lead and manage the Development Services Building Team to deliver high-quality building and construction services. You'll champion a positive culture, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. Your leadership will drive efficiency, innovation, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and rebuild team structure to enhance performance and morale
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee building consent processes and ensure legislative compliance
  • Deliver expert advice to Council, customers, and staff
  • Manage projects and supervise staff and consultants
What We're Looking For
  • Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying or Construction Management
  • Accredited Professional Building Level 1 (or eligible) under the PDI Act Accreditation Scheme
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for culture building and team development
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
