About The RoleAs a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in driving performance, supporting your team, and ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations. You'll lead by example, create a positive working culture, and keep everyone aligned with organisational goals.
Work Location: Bicester
As a Team Leader your key responsibilities will be:
- Supervise and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, direction, and support as needed.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individual team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Monitor team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing team members to foster skill development and career growth.
- Foster a positive work environment characterized by open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Address any issues or conflicts within the team in a timely and constructive manner, promoting resolution and maintaining team morale.
- Serve as a point of contact between team members and management, relaying information, concerns, and feedback as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, and promote adherence to safety standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments or teams to achieve cross-functional objectives and deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on team performance, progress towards goals, and any relevant issues or challenges.
- Previous experience in a food production environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as required.
- Relevant qualifications in food production, manufacturing, or a related field are preferred.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), experience with production labelling software systems will be advantage.
