Laboratory Team Leader

Celbridge, Co. Kildare - Full Time

What you'll do:
  • Oversee high standards of laboratory support, cleaning, and day-to-day operational activities.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, inventory, stock control, deliveries, and waste collection processes.
  • Support laboratory operations by restocking materials, maintaining equipment, and responding to ad-hoc operational requests.
  • Handle administrative tasks including audits, compliance checks, staff records, timesheets, incident reports, and SOP documentation.
  • Supervise and support staff by organising schedules, monitoring performance, managing discipline, and encouraging teamwork and training.
  • Maintain strong customer and client relationships by delivering professional service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures, including inspections, risk assessments, PPE management, and incident reporting.
What you'll bring:
  • Experience in Laboratory Support, Stores, Cleaning Operations, or Facilities Services environments.
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience needed.
  • Experience using operational equipment and inventory systems.
  • Strong reliability, flexibility, and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work alternative hours, shift patterns, weekends, and additional hours when required.

This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Garda Vetting.
